Scaling up a sustainable business model and facing tensions The case of Biocoop

This article explores the tensions between the economic issues and the social and environmental issues that lie in a scale-up process of a sustainable business model. The qualitative and sequential case study of Biocoop in the French food retail industry provides some insights about the different tensions that appear throughout the process. The main contribution concerns the identification of drivers that help manage these tensions.
