The cultural transfer and the bilingual dictionary The case of Jacques Prévert’s poem “La grasse matinée”

This article studies the role of the bilingual dictionary in the transfer of culture through the Arabic translations of the poem "La grasse matinée" by Jacques Prévert. We would like to answer the question: how useful is the bilingual dictionary in the transfer of culture? The study shows that the bilingual dictionary narrows the gap between the two languages while providing equivalences. However, the translator must adapt them to the context.
