The effects of restructuring on employees

This paper sheds light on how restructuring can destabilise workers’ and their professional pathways within firms. The data used are from the original French matched Employer-Employee survey Defis conducted in 2015-2016. In particular, our findings show that restructuring leads to the weakening of workers’ positions within firms and to compelled external mobilities.
