• Abstract: This paper sheds light on how restructuring can destabilise workers’ and their professional pathways within firms. The data used are from the original French matched Employer-Employee survey Defis conducted in 2015-2016. In particular, our findings show that restructuring leads to the weakening of workers’ positions within firms and to compelled external mobilities.
