The lexicographic treatment of dual frozen sequences and the role of the example The case of the adverbial and adjectival clauses in Le Grand Robert

In this paper, we will focus on the study of grammatical status of ambivalent polylexical units in the dictionary in this case the Grand Robert. As the ambivalence of these units poses a problem as to their categorical membership, the example is supposed to provide, among other things, information relating to the grammatical class of the unit defined by the dictionary. The paper attempt to emphasize the role(s) that example plays in clarifying the grammatical status of polylexical units.
