The studies presented here in tribute to Jean-Marie Beyssade are inspired by his research in three ways: the examination of Spinoza/Descartes and Spinoza/Bergson relations, the expansion of his theses on the relationship between affect and affection, and the study of the concepts of recognition, preference, and justification.
