L’Autofictif observe le monde

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: Éric Chevillard dans tous ses états
  • Author: Riendeau (Pascal)
  • Abstract: This article first studies the way in which, in the volumes of L’Autofictif, Éric Chevillard erases the contradiction between fragment and aphorism and invests in the creation of a novel brief form. It then examines the role of ethics in the author’s vision of the world (or that of his alter ego) as conveyed by sagacious or ironic commentaries on secularism and religion, commerce and advertising, and science and literature, as well as by critical reflections on his own writing.
