Translation theory allows us to argue the decisions that the problems posed by the practice of translation require. An aesthetics of literary translation leads to an argued subjective evaluation of the effects induced by the texts. Paradoxically, the specificities of philosophical discourse make it more translatable than one would think. A logic of philosophical translation goes further in the argumentation, at the level of translation reasoning.
