Étude géocritique de la colonisation dans Les Soleils des Indépendances

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: Ahmadou Kourouma, entre poétique romanesque et littérature politique
  • Author: Diandué (Bi Kacou Parfait)
  • Abstract: The theory which lies behind Les Soleils des Indépendances is crystal-clear: colonization is meant to have spread the germ that would cause the destruction of dominated societies, thus undermining today’s international relations. The geocritical principle of transgressiveness applied to the study of the novel will show on the one hand that colonization is responsible for the disorientating configuration of Horodougou and on the other hand how Fama’s decline and infertility reflect the end of Horodougou.
