This article examines the case of anagnôrisis in the literary field, by retracing its fortune since the Sixties, with as a high point Recognitions – A Study in Poetics of Terence Cave of 1988, then by wondering if points of contact are possible between it and other areas of "recognition", in particular those linked to re-readings of the Hegelian Annerkennung or even to the variations of Paul Ricœur’s book in 2004.
