Employment counselors are caught between a mission of equality and a mandate of selection. In this context, some extra-professional traits rejected by employers prevent the work of placement. This category of “peripheral obstacles” remains operatory, however, because it allows job seekers to be divided between different organizations to reduce waiting times.
