Switzerland does not have a “national literature”, with a homogeneity of language or particularisms that would distinguish it. It has three literary peripheries (in German, French, and Italian), which prevent it from reproducing the national system from its literature. Poetry in Switzerland values the alliance of local and transnational issues, which is part of its networks. It could then offer a model for a Europe of poetry.
