This article studies the link between Corbière and Parisian and Belgian writers, from before the publication of Verlaine’s Poètes maudits. By studying Huysmans’ correspondence with Hannon and Mallarmé, we find references to Les Amours jaunes as early as April 1878. The collection is mentioned by the poetic circle ‘Vivants’ through the designer-poet Parisel, in Huysmans’ À rebours, and in Les Déliquescences by Adoré Floupette. Corbière was therefore a well-known figure in literary circles shortly after his death.
