Nicolas Brisset & Raphaël Fèvre, “François Perroux’s Public Speaking under Vichy France”
The activity of François Perroux at the time of the German occupation was analysed from different angles. In the work that follows, we will try to shed light on Perroux’s activity under the French State, not on the basis of the many books and academic articles he published between 1940 and 1944, but rather by focusing on his speeches as a public intellectual. To do this, we will use the Bourdieusian notion of “representation”.
Keywords: François Perroux, Propaganda, Vichy France, Representation, Pierre Bourdieu.

Mylène Gaulard, “The Libertarian Defense of the Basic Income. Conflicts and Contradictions within a Fragmented School of Thought”
Libertarianism has much to say about the question of redistribution of wealth and more specifically on the universal basic income. If libertarians do not all agree on this subject, a part of them consider actually that such an income would be compatible with the respect for self-ownership and the concept of negative liberty. This position is not without putting severe contradictions with the foundations of this current of thought.
Keywords: Libertarianism, Universal Basic Income, Redistribution, Social Justice, Freedom.

Tristan Velardo, “Creation in Schumpeter’s Theory. Between Gift and Appropriation”
The Schumpeterian entrepreneur drives the capitalist process through the introduction of innovations. Alternately impetuous boxer and Don Quixote of the production functions, the entrepreneur is part of a creative process by which emerge novelties which upsets existing economic structures. The “ride” of the entrepreneur cannot be reduced to cost-benefit calculations, but falls under a logic of the gift: the entrepreneur “creates without respite, 255because he can do nothing else”. Nevertheless, he is at the origin of a capitalist economy founded on private property and profit. Capitalism belongs to the logic of economy, that is to say, to a system of appropriation which excludes all forms of gift and gratuitousness. This paper intends to question the apparent tension between a regime of gift and a regime of appropriation in order to highlight the ambivalence of the economic creation.
Keywords: Creation, Innovation, Schumpeter, Gift, Appropriation.

Valentine Brunet, “Justice and Utility in John Stuart Mill”
John Stuart Mill has traditionally been viewed as the iconic representative of British liberalism. However, he transformed some of the central tenets of classical political economy. He became aware of the effects of trade unions and strikes on wages. His utilitarian background also led him to abandon the doctrinaire interpretation of laisser-faire, and to defend state intervention in order to improve the distribution of wealth. Although Mill does not generally invoke his theory of economic justice in his writings, it clearly provides the framework for his policy proposals, aimed at enhancing both human well-being and the autonomy of the individual.

Joël Thomas Ravix, “System against System. The Opposition between Turgot and Necker”
The object of the article is to show that the opposition between Turgot and Necker is expressed less in their respective economic discourses than in the divergence of the systems they develop to explain the organization and the economic functioning of society. More precisely, the difference between the Turgot system and that of Necker manifests itself mainly in three areas which will be addressed in turn. First, they base their analysis on the idea of inequality, to which, however, they offer radically different approaches. Then, if they agree in denouncing the spirit of system, they offer contradictory interpretations. Finally, they do not justify state action in the same terms because they mobilize different approaches to knowledge.
Keywords: Turgot, Necker, Freedom of Trade, Inequality, Spirit of System.
