This first volume of the Œuvres poétiques of Clément Marot gathers the pieces that made the name of the “King’s poet”: L’Adolescence clémentine and La Suite de l’adolescence clémentine. Gérard Defaux’s edition sheds light on Marot’s “poetics of displacement” and gives him his rightful place as a precursor to the Pléiade.
