The contribution made by the digital to the field of music has given rise to a textual and compositional revolution. The writing and editing of music have been completely revolutionized. Music written under such auspices generates questions about the degree to which it can be expressed, its relationship to its own construction and its genetics, its relation to traditional musical rhetoric and its empiricism as it moves towards the creation of a “music of the future.”
