The spy and crime dramas made in England in the 1960s forge links between film and television, and between British and American screen cultures. Two factors influence these productions. Firstly, many British adventure series were in the same production facilities as the cinema. Secondly, soundstages and backlot buildings representing international locations were used, allowing the export of these dramas to the US.
