The history of publishing shows a real incompatibility between publishers’ standards and writers’ innovations. To Corbière, publishing Les Amours Jaunes inevitably meant an impoverishment of his writing and of its visual dimension in particular. This article aims to show that Corbière, far from giving his specificity up, resorted to different editing strategies so that his 1873 edition would keep its original visual aspect.
