Returning first to Huysmans’ early interest in Corbière, which he had already made clear in the 1870s, the article then identifies various similarities between “Le Naufragé” by François Coppée and a number of poems by Tristan; it proposes the hypothesis that Huysmans, who was friendly with Coppée, could have introduced him to Corbière.
