Tristan Corbière presented himself in a poem from his only collection Les Amours jaunes as a « bâtard de Créole et Breton ». He also lived for some time in Paris, in the area of lower Montmartre, where he lived at 10 rue Frochot. This article situates this street in a district characterised by the presence of artists. It analyses the presence of this district in his original and powerful poetic language.
