This article aims to dispel the myth surrounding the creation of La Folle de Chaillot, a play that met with triumphant success following France’s liberation, so that it can be re-read as a near-authentic transcription of Parisian voices, notably the oppressed, often overlooked by writers. Such a re-reading leads us to discover the continuing relevance of a work that corresponds to Giraudoux’s wish, expressed in Pleins Pouvoirs, for Paris to become the place where urban rights would be put into practice.
