  • Author: Brancourt (Vincent)
  • Abstract: If, in Combat avec l’ange (1934), there is the scene where the allegory of peace occupies a central role, offering the character of Brossard an imaginary solution to his struggle against war, in La Guerre de Troie n’aura pas lieu (1935), the repetition of this figure can be considered self-parody and intended to give voice to the inevitability of war. Through the implementation of this allegory, Giraudoux’s vision of war emerges in the 1930s.
