Polemical strategy in the sonnets “Contre les ministres de la nouvelle opinion”, by Étienne Jodelle

This article states that the thirty-six sonnets Contre les ministres de la nouvelle opinon, by Étienne Jodelle, have been written all along the 1560s. « Ministers » are the common adversary of these poems, term by which Jodelle targets all huguenots intellectuals: so, Calvinism appears not as a religious conviction but as an ideology, a false doctrine of which civil war is effect and goal.
