Historical terminology and early music. Guidon and petite reprise, two examples of terminological resurgence

Following a study on the phenomenon of terminological resurgence, this paper presents the thorough diachronic analysis of two ancient musical terms (petite reprise and guidon). It also introduces a theoretical framework on historical terminology in general, and on terminology work dealing with ancient terminologies in particular. The examples analysed in this paper are two cases of terminological necrology followed by terminological resurgence.
