Terminology of jewellery from the nineteenth century to the present: some examples of denominative and normative issues

The problem of the constitution of terminology and its evolution is analysed in the field of jewellery from the 19th century to the present day, during the transition from craftmanship to industrialisation. The study is conducted on the basis of examples drawn from one of the most representative documentary corpus from the 19th and early 20th centuries, and focuses on certain denominative paradigms characterising the field of jewellery at that time.
