On the translation of Charles Nodier’s Trilby o el duende de Argail published in Cordoba, Imprenta y Papelería Catalana, (without translator’s note and anonymous)

This article presents the first Spanish translation of Charles Nodier’s famous fantastic story Trilby ou le lutin d’Argail. The translation, anonymous and probably published at the end of the nineteenth century, is, in general terms, quite complete and reflects the interest in Charles Nodier’s fantastic tales in Spain. It was published as a stand-alone narrative, although most later translations of this tale are found in compilations.
