This essay, the first in French to be devoted to Giovan Francesco Busenello, analyses the rhetorical structure of his literary production. By underlining the primacy of poetic speech, a precondition for the autonomy of “musical drama”, his production testifies to the emergence of an authentic writerly consciousness.
