“Intimate” Claudel? Confession, confidence

What does the notion of “intimacy” mean to Claudel? It does not seem to be any concern of his, except for spiritual self-examination and sacramental confession. We shall first show Claudel's links with his regular confessors, some of them being renowned French priests. Claudel's correspondance with Massignon will help us to discriminate confidence from confession, which will lead us to ask whether or not it was suitable to publish Claudel's intimate correspondance with “Ysé”.
