The lute and the trumpet The presence of Agrippa d’Aubigné in the collections of notated music (1579–1586)

Aubigné’s contribution to the poetic and musical field of his time is not surprising: it confirms the uses often reserved for love poetry written primarily for song. This article focuses in particular on the musicians Didier Le Blanc and Pierre Bonnet, whose collections of Airs de cour include five pieces in verse, most of which were set to music near Poitiers. Some of which were previously unknown and modify our knowledge of The Printemps.
