Co-founder and director of JBE (formerly known as Jean Boîte éditions), David Desrimais addresses the ambition and challenge behind the launch of his publishing company: a desire to end the gap between the creativity of modern digital culture and the age-old but still promising medium of the book qua codex. The goal is not to shift from print to screen, but to invent in print form the equivalent of today’s and tomorrow’s technologically mediated culture.
