The poetics of Gabriela Mistral, Philippe Jaccottet and Fabienne Raphoz, through the sense of hearing and the auditive and conversational links between humans and non-humans in their experiences, can be defined as ec(h)opoetics. Listening to natural sounds is significant in their poetry, but the act of listening of birds is paradigmatic of a relation with the world passing through the sensitive body, and based on reciprocity between human and non-human.
