The renewal of the photo-novel? Two interviews with Clémentine Mélois, author, and Nathalie Fiszman, publishing director at Seuil

Is this a publishing “moment”? A more lasting trend? Or a renewal of the photo-novel? In 2021, Editions du Seuil published Les Six Fonctions du langage, an “all color” photo-novel by Clémentine Mélois, followed in 2022 by Guacamole Vaudou, cowritten by Fabcaro and Eric Judor. The author and publisher explain their approach and their taste for this unacademic genre, which is far from familiar to the famous publishing house.
