The article examines Nerval's relationships with the Viennese press during and after his stay in the Austrian capital in the winter of 1839-1840, foremost among which were those he maintained with the figures of Adolf Bäuerle and Moritz Saphir. It particularly seeks to shed light on the connections between Nerval's and the newspapers humorous poetics that these Viennese colleagues edited.
