The publication of Apollinaire and Salmon’s correspondence has made it possible to bring back to life the bond between the two poets, in both their life and their works, within a group torn between reciprocal admiration, colliding egos, and rivalries, whether in literary, artistic, or romantic relations. More or less simulated sulks and quarrels would not prevail over their steadfast solidarity in the face of challenges, nor over a tenacious lyrical fraternity in spite of multiple snags.
