The Libertarian Defense of the Basic Income Conflicts and Contradictions within a Fragmented School of Thought

Libertarianism has much to say about the question of redistribution of wealth and more specifically on the universal basic income. If libertarians do not all agree on this subject, a part of them consider actually that such an income would be compatible with the respect for self-ownership and the concept of negative liberty. This position is not without putting severe contradictions with the foundations of this current of thought.
