From 1887 until his death in 1936, Régnier wrote his Cahiers, which served both as his diary and as a laboratory for his work. Marcel Proust’s name appears there regularly from the late 1890s. We discover an astonishing character, who is kept alive thanks to an abundance of anecdotes.
