Lexical innovations in the field of renewable energies: exploiting the contrast of corpora as a means of detection

This article presents a corpus analysis dedicated to lexical novelty detection in the domain of renewable energies. We propose a method for detecting lexical innovations by comparing occurrences in a manually-created specialized corpus, and in a general language corpus used as a contrast corpus. We present some of these innovations and observe their appearance and diffusion in a large diachronic corpus.
