In specialist languages, compound nouns are the most frequent terms and their translation often poses problems due to differences in how they are formed in various languages. As a result, their semantic analysis is indispensable, in particular in the study of the role of predicate-argument structures, known as microcontexts. Composite nouns from the wind-energy field in Spanish are studied along with their equivalents in English.
