This article proposes an “ironic-depressive” approach to the political stakes of Nathalie Quintane’s œuvre. In the guise of a campaign speech, it assesses the major political sites of literary experimentation: linguistic transformation, readers’ disaffection, the real effectiveness of poetry, and remedies for the ill imagination. The idea is to teach us to read again so as to decipher the prevailing psychopathology.
