Réguler, déposséder et faire attendre Ḫayrallah al-Ğabal de ‘Alā’ Farġalī

Despite the multiplicity of conflicts, a central antagonism emerges: the government takes a stand against the influx of the underprivileged towards Hayralla. The reader is invited to move constantly between a framing narrative and an embedded narrative, between two types of waiting: that of the population and that of Ṣālḥīn and his brothers. The protagonists situate themselves in relation to waiting, between those who wait and those who, from father to son, know how to make wait.
