Leslie Kaplan affirms the force of the preposition « with » in her œuvre; it accompanies and moves beyond the writing. She returns regularly to the ethical importance of distance, the right distance for writing. « Writing with » is to put perspectives historically seen as minor or dominated on the same level as the others. This work of equalising is also a form of reparation because the new order which appears reopens language, and takes it elsewhere.
