The potential histories of Philippe Artières

This study analyzes the career of Philippe Artières, between historiography and literature. This historian, attentive to Michel Foucault’s fresh contributions and to Georges Perec’s attention to the infraordinary, unframes the practices of history and the uses of the archive, outside of strict methodologies, in order to invent a plural and playful, critical and subversive form of enunciation on the fringes of contemporary science and art.
