La culture populaire, source de renouvellement d’un genre dans Anicet ou le Panorama, roman de Louis Aragon

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work

  • Author: Audureau (Annabel)
  • Abstract: Published in 1921, Louis Aragon’s first novel, Anicet ou le Panorama, roman, cancels out and at the same time reconstructs the novelistic genre. Narrating the initiation adventures of the young Anicet – the prefix belies a priori his candour – this panorama (an anagram of the French “pas roman”) renews the dominant genre of the preceding century. Elsewhere, Aragon reveals an attachment to the novelistic narrative (a genre he seeks to renew) which can no longer be denied.
