Construction History in Scandinavia

This first work of synthesis on the history of construction in Scandinavian countries demonstrates that if research is performed in isolation in the humanities and social sciences, engineers and architects cannot learn about it. The works examine contemporary subjects with a focus on the question of constructive engineering. The lack of interest in Scandinavia for the history of construction can probably be explained by the lack of exchanges with their European colleagues, a situation that seems to be changing.
