“Antérot preste moy la main” Aspects of Ronsard’s Anterotism, between Contradiction and Unity of Erotic Discourse

Among Ronsard's mythological pantheon, Anteros makes a timid, but significant, appearance. By taking on roles and discourses that may seem paradoxical, the god of reciprocal love seems to crystallize a contradiction at the heart of Ronsard's love poetry. By analysing the way in which Anteros appears and seems to act on Ronsard's erotic discourse, the study attempts to highlight the logic that the anterotic figure produces within the Vendômois’ Œuvres.
