Is Ronsard the Author of the Translation de l’original latin de la fondation du prieuré de Saint-Cosme?

After Ronsard’s death, documents concerning him were published alongside his Œuvres, without any real proof. Thus, the Translation de l’original latin de la fondation du prieuré de Saint-Cosme, printed in Tours in 1637, and rediscovered by Prosper Blanchemain in 1866, henceforth became part of the corpus of texts attributed to the poet. On the basis of a new manuscript, the present study challenges Ronsard’s authorship of this translation.
