Our era is experiencing “the society closest to communism that history has ever known”. This thesis may seem paradoxical at a time when the concentration of wealth is reaching a level rarely attained. This article attempts to think of the ontological and semiotic forms of a liquefied society and a new form of “documedial” capital, which transforms goods into documents and reveals consumption to be the real investment of labor.
