MacIntyre’s critique of the myth of interiority A fortress in the face of barbarians and cosmopolitans

This paper extends the epistemic critique of the interiority myth at a political level. To this end, it takes as its starting point the work of Alasdair MacIntyre rooted in the Wittgensteinian critique of solipsism. Rather than opting for a cosmopolitan option, MacIntyre lambasts those who claim to rise above communities and traditions. In doing so MacIntyre engages himself wrongly on a middle road between an exclusionary communitarianism and an overinclusive cosmopolitanism.
