This double-volume of Encomia represents the first volume of the bulletin published in an online format and the first volume published with Garnier. Unfortunately, the transition from paper version to digital format and from one press to another has resulted in a publication delay for volume 34-35. However, the new digital format, once the publication process has been streamlined, should make the bibliographies accessible to members in a more timely manner. Furthermore, one of the most significant features of the new online format is the ability to conduct electronic searches of keywords through the browser’s search function, eliminating the need for indices. I hope this capability will facilitate more efficient and precise research.
The bibliographies in this volume cover mainly the years 2010-2011. Several branches of the International Courtly Literature Society have contributed bibliographical data here and I hope that those who did not will be able to submit material in the future. In particular I wish to welcome back to the bulletin the bibliographical contributions of the German branch. I wish to express my deepest appreciation to all the bibliographers, coordinators, and bibliographical correspondents for their diligence in gathering the information presented here.
The recent transition of the bulletin has especially affected the number of book reviews. Samuel N. Rosenberg built a formidable presence of book reviews in Encomia during his time as Editor, and volume 32-33 contained a substantial number of reviews under my editorship. Regrettably, volume 34-35 features only a few reviews. In hopes that volume 34-35 of Encomia will enrich your research, I wish all members and friends of the ICLS a pleasant and productive year.
