Directed by William Karel, Dark Side of the Moon is a “mockumentary” that relies mainly on manipulation of filmed interviews and archive footage. This article seeks to account for the discrepancy between the playful intention that presided over the production of this documentary, and its reception, which has become problematic because of the emergence of the conspiracy phenomenon that it seems to parody.
